About The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution
Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, so it can work inside pores where oil and dead skin build up. With regular use, skin tends to look clearer, with fewer visible blackheads and clogged pores.
It is a good evening option if you have oily or breakout-prone skin and want something more targeted than niacinamide alone.

Who it suits
Oily, combination and blemish-prone skin. If your skin is dry or sensitive, start once or twice a week.
How to use
- Use in the evening on clean skin.
- Apply a thin layer to the whole face or just to congested areas.
- Start 2–3 times a week and build up if your skin is comfortable.
- Wear sunscreen every morning.
Good to know: Do not use in the same routine as other acids, retinol or vitamin C. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your doctor before using.
